We are Lina and Adrián, and more than just your hosts, we will be your family in our retreat, ensuring you have an unforgettable experience.

We are located in Punta Huina, just 15 minutes by boat from the municipal center of Bahía Solano in the Chocó department.

With its lush ecosystem and ideal balance of water, air, light, and sun, Chocó is a true natural wonder. Home to 25% of species found nowhere else on Earth, it offers an unparalleled connection to nature.

HOW TO GET HERE BY PLANE?


To reach Bahía Solano, you can travel by air from the city that best suits your journey. You can take a direct flight from Medellín, Cali, Cartago, Bogotá, or Quibdó with the following airlines: Clic, SATENA, Moon Flights, PACIFICA.

HOW TO GET HERE BY SEA?

You can also reach Bahía Solano by sea with two options:

1) Speedboat: Covers the route from Buenaventura to Bahía Solano. It is a covered boat with a bathroom, and the journey takes six hours along the Pacific coast.

2) Ship: Covers the route from Buenaventura to Bahía Solano. It is a cargo and passenger transport vessel with cabins, bunk beds, bathrooms, and meals included during the trip. The journey takes 22 hours along the Pacific coast.

FROM BAHIA SOLANO TO THE ECOHOUSE

Take a tuk-tuk from the airport (if arriving by plane) or from Bahía Solano (if arriving by boat) to the 'La Esso' gas station. From there, take a boat to Huina. The boat trip takes about 15 minutes.

Packing List and Important Information

1) Clothing: Bring quick-drying clothes such as Lycra materials, comfortable outfits, long pants or leggings, and waterproof jackets or raincoats. Avoid jeans.

2) Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes with good grip for hiking, as well as sandals or water shoes.

3) Essentials: Don't forget a cap or hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.

4) Water: There is no potable water in the area, so you must bring or buy bottled water.

5) Gear: A waterproof phone case and a backpack for hikes are recommended. Avoid wheeled suitcases - backpacks are preferred.

6) Luggage Limit: Many airlines restrict baggage to 10 kg per person.

7) Payments: Bring cash. There is only one ATH ATM and Bancolombia agents. We accept Bancolombia and Nequi transfers, as well as card payments with a 5% surcharge.

8) Medications: Bring any prescribed medications.

9) Dietary Restrictions: If you have allergies or dietary needs, please inform us in advance.

10) Phone Signal: Only Tigo has cellular coverage at the beach.

Pacific Botanical Garden

A 170-hectare paradise in the Serranía del Baudó, near Mecana Beach, where you can observe a wide variety of the region’s unique flora and fauna.

During your visit to the Pacific Botanical Garden, you can enjoy activities such as forest and piñuelo hikes, mangrove navigation, heliconia garden exploration, canopy adventures, and more. The tours range from 2 km to 8 km in length. This activity includes entrance to the site, lunch, and maritime transportation.

Colombia is home to six whale species, including the majestic Blue Whale. The Humpback Whale, or Yubarta, travels thousands of kilometers from the Antarctic Peninsula to give birth to its calves in the bays of the Colombian Pacific.

The Utría National Natural Park is a protected area located in the Utría Inlet on the northern coast of the Colombian Pacific.

During this experience, you'll witness a lush tropical rainforest, stunning white-sand beaches, and a deep blue sea, perfect for activities like hiking, snorkeling, diving, and more. The journey to the park is by boat on open sea, lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Entrance to the park is covered by the visitor if they wish to explore the facilities.

We offer classes and a basic course covering essential skills and knowledge for recreational freediving, ensuring a safe dive with or without a guide rope.
